Can I get overdraft protection?

SCU Credit Union offers three forms of overdraft protection with Overdraft Protection (Line of Credit), Overdraft Transfer and Overdraft Privilege Service (OPS).

Overdraft Protection (Line of Credit) is a line of credit loan that is advanced any time your account would otherwise be overdrawn. Interest accrues on the outstanding balance. Approval is subject to your credit worthiness.

Overdraft Transfer is a link between your savings account and checking account. Anytime your checking account would be overdrawn, we will transfer available funds from your savings to your checking to cover the overdraft. Two transfers per month are permitted free of charge. For additional transfers in a given month, a service charge applies. Refer to our Schedule of Charges: https://www.scucu.com/personal/rates/schedule-of-fees
Overdraft Privilege Service (OPS) is a discretionary program under which SCU Credit Union will consider paying items drawn on your checking account for which the account has insufficient or unavailable funds, instead of automatically returning those items unpaid.
