Will there be any changes to POP Money?

POP Money will not be available in Online Banking. Transfers to and from other institutions (external) and account to account transfers between Sharon Credit Union accounts are now standard features in the new Online Banking solution and will no longer require the use of POP Money. There is, however, no Person to Person (POP Money) transfer services initiated by email or text. We suggest using a service like Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Venmo. Please make note of your current payment amounts, schedules, and payees within POP Money as this information will not carry over and will need to be entered into the new Online Banking solution.

Person to Person Services

For members with an Android smartphone and a gmail account, Google Pay is simple and secure. Pay on sites, in stores, in apps and send or request money to and from friends. Your financial information is encrypted and kept securely on Google's Servers. Google Pay also comes with 24/7 fraud monitoring and covers 100% of all verified unauthorized transactions. Learn more about Google Pay.

For iPhone® and Apply device users, Apple Pay™ also allows you to make secure payments in stores, online and in apps. You can send and receive money from friends and family right in Messages. Learn more about Apple Pay.

Venmo is another secure service that allows you to securely pay friends and family and pay in mobile apps. You can find friends automatically by syncing Venmo with Facebook or your contacts. Learn more about Venmo.
